About TD-SCDMA
TD-SCDMA standard put forward by China is the third generation mobile communication standard accepted by International Telecommunication Union (ITU). TD-SCDMA integrates the advantages of four multiple access technologies-Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access(TDMA), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA), and fully meets the IMT-2000 requirements drafted by ITU. Together with WCDMA and CDMA2000, the three are widely regarded as three main 3G technology standards.
The key technologies of TD-SCDMA, such as Time Division Duplex (TDD), Smart Antenna (SA), Joint Detection (JD), Uplink Synchronization (ULSC), Dynamic Channel Allocation (DCA) and Baton Handover (BHO), greatly improve the capacity and performance of the system. The inherent feature of TD-SCDMA also helps it enjoy unique benefits in supporting 3G applications.
Since 1995 when Datang Mobile began pre-researching the key technologies of TD-SCDMA (SA, JD, ULSC, BHO, etc.), it has obtained many patents at home and abroad, more than 96% of which are highest technological invention patents. On the basis of the profound understanding of TD-SCDMA technology, Datang Mobile first brought out and realized key technologies such as TD-HSDPA, Single-frequency Networking Algorithm, N-frequency-channel cell, to continuously enhance the network performance and service delivery capability of TD-SCDMA.
